General Safety Guidelines

•No fire, flash powder, lasers, explosives, smoke, or open flame of any kind will be allowed.

•Brandishing a weapon at anyone, insulting or injuring other entrants, convention members, judges, guests, or their costumes may result in leaving the premises.

Weapon Guidelines

None of the following are allowed in Otaku Recon

1. •No Real Weapons
   

2. •Live steel weapons: such as shuriken or swords
   •No Explosives or chemicals of any kind including, but not limited to, smoke powder, sparklers, and fireworks
   

3. •No prop/weapon that can shoot projectiles (i.e. nerf guns, slingshots, arrows). You may have the prop as long as no projectiles are present or the prop is unable to fire said projectiles. 
   

4. •Any weapons must be made of wood, plastic, foam or other like substances. All weapons are to be checked by a security staff prior to entering the Otaku Recon Event Floor.
   

5. •Weapons should be carried and posed with in a way that does not inconvenience or injure other attendees.
   

Sexual Content

•No sexual activity or contact allowed, real or implied.

•No nudity is allowed.

•If your costume is in anyway derogatory, sexual in nature or deemed inappropriate, you will be asked to alter your costume or change clothes.
